Why do I need a web site?

Imagine for a second how much our world has changed since the first public web page materialized in Aug. 1991. And today, with over 100 million web pages and growing, more and more businesses are seeking their place on the World Wide Web. The Internet continues to dominate; search engines like Google are many people's first search choice over phone books and traditional print media.

Along with making businesses more accessibile, technology has proved that there are virtually no limits to the customization a web site offers. In fact, a well-designed web site adds to your business' credibility and increases buyers' confidence by making it easier for your prospective customers to make an educated decision. Better yet, compared to the costs of print media advertising (newspapers, telephone directories), Web design is very affordable and can interactively be viewed as an advertisement that is permanently accessible, global (not limited to subscription areas or zip codes), comprehensive, customizable, and user-friendly. A good web site is affordable. (Fortune 500 companies are not the only businesses online anymore.)

Consider, too, that not all web sites are alike. In fact, it is said that you have just three seconds to make a good impression and gain your web site visitor's trust before he or she makes the decision to leave your web page and look elsewhere. This trend of quick and impatient searching is what we today call web surfing. Do you have a web site that has what it takes?
